Youth Red Cross (YRC)

DAV College Sadhaura promotes the activities of the Youth Red Cross (YRC) in accordance with the applicable guidelines of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) and the directions of the concerned University and State Red Cross authorities. The YRC provides students with opportunities to develop the spirit of voluntary service, humanitarian values, health awareness, social responsibility, and community participation.

Key Activities of the Youth Red Cross

  • Promote awareness about health, hygiene, sanitation, and healthy living.

  • Encourage voluntary blood donation and related awareness activities.

  • Create awareness about first aid, emergency preparedness, and basic safety practices.

  • Organize health, social, and community awareness programmes.

  • Promote environmental protection, cleanliness, and responsible environmental practices.

  • Create awareness about road safety and responsible citizenship.

  • Participate in community service and humanitarian activities.

  • Organize awareness campaigns, rallies, workshops, seminars, and outreach programmes.

  • Support activities related to disaster preparedness, response, and relief, wherever applicable.

  • Observe important days associated with health, humanitarian service, social awareness, and community welfare.

  • Encourage students to develop the spirit of voluntary service, empathy, cooperation, and social responsibility.

The Youth Red Cross endeavours to provide students with meaningful opportunities to serve society, develop humanitarian values, and contribute to the health, safety, and well-being of the community. Through its activities, the YRC encourages students to become responsible, compassionate, and socially engaged members of society.

Constitution of the YRC

The Youth Red Cross Unit functions in accordance with the applicable guidelines of the Indian Red Cross Society, the concerned State/University Red Cross authorities, and institutional requirements. Its activities are undertaken in accordance with the prescribed guidelines and the objectives of the College.
