Red Ribbon Club (RRC)
DAV College Sadhaura facilitates the activities of the Red Ribbon Club (RRC) in accordance with the applicable guidelines and directions of the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, along with the directions of the concerned State AIDS Control Society and affiliating University. The Red Ribbon Club provides a platform for students to develop awareness about HIV/AIDS prevention, healthy lifestyles, voluntary blood donation, and social responsibility.
Key Activities of the Red Ribbon Club
Create awareness among students about HIV/AIDS prevention and responsible health practices.
Promote accurate information and address myths and misconceptions related to HIV/AIDS.
Encourage healthy, safe, and responsible lifestyles among young people.
Encourage voluntary blood donation among eligible students.
Organize awareness programmes, seminars, workshops, rallies, campaigns, and outreach activities.
Observe World AIDS Day and other relevant health and awareness occasions.
Promote peer education and encourage students to act as responsible health-awareness ambassadors.
Create awareness about stigma, discrimination, and the importance of dignity and respect for people living with HIV/AIDS.
Encourage community outreach and social awareness activities.
Collaborate with appropriate health, social welfare, and community organizations, wherever applicable.
The Red Ribbon Club endeavours to empower students with accurate information, positive health practices, social responsibility, and a spirit of voluntary service. Through its activities, the Club contributes to HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention education, voluntary blood donation, and broader health and social awareness among youth.
Constitution of the RRC
The Red Ribbon Club functions in accordance with the applicable guidelines of NACO, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, the concerned State AIDS Control Society, the affiliating University, and institutional requirements. Its activities are undertaken in accordance with the prescribed guidelines and the objectives of the College.
