The College IQAC Cell: Ensuring Quality in Higher Education

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is a vital body established according to the guidelines of the UGC in our college. It plays a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of education offered by the institution. Instituted by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), the IQAC functions as a mechanism for continuous improvement and self-assessment within the college.

Vision

IQAC is established to develop an Institutional Eminence with evolving and sustaining Excellence in its Academic and Administrative practices.

Key Objectives

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is established in educational institutions to promote a culture of continuous improvement. Here are some of the key objectives of an IQAC:

  • Develop a system for improvement: The IQAC works to establish a framework for consistent and deliberate action plans to enhance academic and administrative performance within the institution.
  • Promote quality enhancement: The cell fosters initiatives that elevate the overall quality of education offered by the institution. This involves setting clear goals and implementing effective measures.
  • Enhance and coordinate activities: The cell works to ensure smooth coordination between various departments and committees within the institution. This facilitates a more unified approach to quality enhancement.
  • Institutionalize best practices: The IQAC identifies and promotes successful practices within the institution. By sharing and implementing these best practices, the overall quality of education can be improved.
  • Improve internal communication: The IQAC works to bridge communication gaps between different stakeholders within the institution. This fosters a more collaborative environment for quality enhancement.
  • Prepare quality assurance reports: The cell is responsible for preparing reports, such as the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR), that document the institution’s progress towards quality enhancement.
