The journey of thousand miles begins with a single step. But it is the first step that is the hardest. The journey of D.A.V. College, Sadhaura began with a surge of enthusiasm of great visionaries. Having been founded in 1968, in the revered memory of Swami Dayanand Saraswati, D.A.V. College, Sadhaura has become an integral part of the region’s-socio-cultural millieu. Sadhaura, a small town in District Yamunanagar (Haryana), is situated on foothills of Shivalik range. The college is situated on the banks of river Nakti. The college has a sprawling campus extending over 25 acres of land.
It is situated in very healthy and congenial surroundings. The college is catering to the needs of rural area and weaker section in the field of higher education by offering two-year Post-Graduate programmes in English and Commerce, besides the three year Under-Graduate programmes in Arts, Commerce General and Vocational, Science (Non-Medical).
It has well-appointed building with spacious classrooms, administrative blocks, computer laboratory and a technically sound seminar room (with audio visual aids), spacious playgrounds, canteen, sprawling lawns and other facilities required for the college. Adequate arrangements have been made to provide various facilities to students on the campus. In recognition of its outstanding all-around performances, the college has been accredited with B+Grade by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore. The college was also honored with the Best Rural College Award among the non-government-aided colleges of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra in 2003-04. The college is affiliated to Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra and duly recognized by U.G.C. for the purpose of all kinds of development grants. The college has created an inimitable academic space for itself within five decades of its monumental existence. The college is marching ahead on the path of progress, and prosperity and preserving the rich heritage of the glorious past. D.A.V.
